The Ski Club of Great Britain are looking for people to join a focus group at The Snow Centre.

Ski Club Focus Group @ Snow Centre 31st March: anyone who is interested will have to fill a brief online form in on the Ski Club website, there are three sessions on the 31st March at 11am — 1.30pm or 2pm — 4.30pm or 6pm — 8pm. The Ski Club wants feedback about their website, any views and ideas are welcome.

Vail’s Epic Pass back for 2010/11

Vail have announced their Epic Pass is back for next winter and can be bought now. The Epic Pass gives unlimited and unrestricted skiing at the company’s five resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California as well as another Colorado ski centre the company doesn’t own, Arapahoe Basin.

March snow covers the worlds top ski areas

We may be entering the last month of operations for many leading snow resorts, but the snow is still falling thickly at many ski centres in Europe and North America. Current Paralympics host Whistler is continuing its record breaking 2009–10 season with another metre of snow in the past week. Sun Peaks launches new terrain park

Sun Peaks in British Columbia has opened its new terrain park and announced not only news snow features but also a range of events through the season. The park contains over nine acres of terrain features and jumps for skiers and snowboarders including a new a 20 foot flat box for rail riders, two new 16 foot corrugated culverts and a 30 foot straight rail.

Val Thorens offers mountain biking on snow

Val Thorens is offering a new activity this winter for those in search of a new adrenaline rush – high altitude downhill mountain biking on snow, at night. Participants start their descent at one of the highest lift-served points in the French Alps, 3,000m up at the foot of the Péclet Glacier. They then hurtle down the six kilometre (nearly four mile) long “Tête Ronde” run on their mountain bike, descending 700 vertical metres back to the resort.
