Crystal Ski customers can this winter receive an essential ‘information pack’, including downloadable piste maps and details of rep services available in the resort, ready for their mobile phone.
Crystal is replacing the traditional printed pack with an online pack which allows customers to access essential resort information up to nine days before departure from their PC or web-enabled iphone, BlackBerry and other devices.
The information pack includes:
- personalised ‘first 24 hour guide’ with details of local airport, transfers, check-in details, ski escorting, childcare service;
- names and 24/7 contact details of the in-resort team;
- daily snow reports, piste condition, weather and temperature;
- live web-camera images;
- downloadable piste and resort maps;
- puzzles and games;
- information for families and first time skiers/boarders;
- resort facilities, après-ski venues, restaurants and bars, events and other winter sport activities available in resort;
- opportunity to speak to in-resort team before departure and questions answered.
Crystal Ski has also set up a partnership with travel Buddy to communicate by text messages with our customers while in resort. Receiving text messages through travel Buddy will be absolutely free. If an incident occurs in a ski resort or a flight is delayed due to heavy snowfall, the Crystal travel Buddy can provide free text messages with guidance and advice.
Crystal Ski managing director Mathew Prior said: ‘We are thrilled to introduce these innovations next winter which result from Crystal’s commitment to improve our customer’s experience while on holiday. Our research has shown us that customers want assistance within the first 24 hours of the holiday and to get them skiing as smoothly and quickly as possible. The best way to achieve this is providing a personalised service tailored to our customers’ needs – before travel, upon arrival and while on holidays.’
Crystal also promises 50% more free ski escorting this winter and have extended the service so it is now available three days a week. The ski escorts will show how to beat the queues, find the best runs and get inside information necessary for a successful day on the slopes.
Customers will also be able to let us do the queuing for them this winter in more resorts than ever before. We will deliver lift passes before the lifts open either to our customers’ accommodation or to a convenient central point in resort.
