The Ski Club of Great Britain is reporting what they describe as, “exceptional skiing conditions across Europe.” The Club employs their own expert reps who are based in 35 resorts worldwide and have been sending back snow reports where they describe the snow as ‘superb’ and ‘the best of the season so far’.
With the UK blanketed in snow, it is a similar picture across Europe with nearly all ski resorts reporting outstanding conditions. Scottish resorts are also having their best start to the season for over a decade and there are even great skiing conditions on the ski hills of the north of England.
The reps send back daily reports with detailed comments on snow conditions and weather forecasts. Snow reports are also updated each week day for over 250 resorts.
Some of the Ski Club reps comments this week have included from Tuesday 5th January:
- “Exellent day, probably the best so far this season. Good light powder snow everywhere.” Ski Club rep, La Plagne.
- “The cold weather has kept the pistes in good condition. There are still some areas of powder to be found.” Ski Club rep, Obergurgl
- “Good visibility and lovely powder snow meant a perfect off piste day skiing Meribel.” Ski Club rep, Meribel.
- “Wonderful blue skies, great skiing and warmer temperatures. We skied all 4 Valleys today and it was superb everywhere.” Ski Club rep, Verbier.
