The weather between Thursday 15th March and Sunday 18th March is expected to be largely snowy in France, delivering around 15–20cm of snow to most places. La Plagne should have light snowfall until Sunday and generally cold weather too, with the freezing level hovering between 1900m and 2000m. From Monday, 19th April, onwards it should get much sunnier and warmer with the freezing level climbing to around 2500m.

Austria is expecting less snowy weather and more sunshine. There is, however, some snow forecast at Mayrhofen on Friday 16th and then from Tuesday 20th April. It is expected to be colder than in France.

Italy and Switzerland are expecting the same weather, with temperatures typically spring-like for most of the week. Eastern parts of Italy will offer the best weather but the most snow will fall in the western resorts. 55cm of fresh snow is expected at Oppdal up in Norway.

It would appear that winter is far from over especially with a freezing level at only 100m and temperatures on the higher slopes remaining consistently at -9C.

Snow is expected to return to the east coast of America this week. It hasn’t snowed for nearly a month at Sunday River but now 24cm of fresh snow is expected to fall by Friday 23rd April and the temperature should drop down to -4C at the top, which is better than the recent 25C. 15cm alone is expected to fall on Saturday 17th April.

The south western quarter of America should be fairly dry and sunny. This includes Utah and California should provide some good weather to enjoy the masses of snow they already have.

Banff in Canada is expecting snow to fall at the beginning of next week. Around 20cm is expected and the weather should also become much colder for this period of snowfall. However, until then the skies should be clear and the temperature high.
