Snow report Lots of snow predicted for Austria

Another winter storm is coming to the eastern half of the Alps which should bring loads of snow with it. Austria and Eastern Switzerland are expected to benefit the most. France is expecting a dusting. The 2011 ski season has now ended in Australia. All resorts were closed on Monday 3rd October and it was a fantastic end to the season with over half a metre of powder at Perisher and Thredbo.

The season has now ended in Chile. Their season was brought to a close on Monday and it was a great winter too.

It’s still great in New Zealand though, where Mount Hutt still has an excellent snow base. The same is the case on the North Island where Turoa and Whakapapa have plenty of snow.
