Snow report More snow for Swiss ski resorts

Snowsports can be enjoyed on both sides of the Atlantic at the moment. The resorts open in Europe for snowsports on Thursday 3rd November were predominantly glacier skiing areas that offer skiing during the summer too. The exception was the Diavolezza area at Pontresina, in the Engadin area of Switzerland where skiing has been possible since 22nd October.

The forecast for resorts in the west over the coming weekend is really promising for the start of the winter season. Over half a metre of snowfall is forecast for some areas. Conditions will be milder in the east with clearer weather anticipated over the coming days.

North America has enjoyed a great start to the season, especially in Colorado where Loveland and Arapahoe Basin are both open with excellent early season riding conditions. Even in the east Killington and Sunday River is open following the recent snowstorm.
