Saas Fee ski resort also has good condition

The linked ski area above Zermatt in Switzerland and Cervinia in Italy, as well as the ski area at Saas Fee in Switzerland, offer some of the best summer riding conditions in Europe at the moment. The Grande Motte glacier at Tignes is getting very thin now and could do with fresh snow. This means the skiing is suffering as a result. Head to Les Deux Alpes for the best skiing in France at the moment.

New Zealand received lots of fresh snow on Monday 15th August. Many areas were forced to close however because of very strong winds. Some resorts received more than 50cm of fresh snow so it should be incredible when the weather clears and reveals the fresh powder. Turoa, on the North Island, received a very impressive 60cm of snow on Monday.

There was some fresh snow in South America too. Cerro Catedral in Argentina received 10cm of snow on Sunday. It wasn’t as snowy over in Chile but Portillo and Valle Nevado have plenty of great snow on offer.
