Ski rentals price war underway in the French Alps
Lower than hoped general ski business over Christmas and New Year, along with tough competition, is partly behind a price war kicking off between rental shops in the French Alps. Low cost ski equipment hire company Ski Republic hope to have played the trump card by cutting their prices for equipment hire to just 10 Euros a day, based on a ‘rent one day, get one day free’ deal, with the seventh day also free for those statig in resort more tha the usual six days.
The price is inclusive of top brand skis and poles or board rental as well as boots and a helmet.
Brands available in the low price rental deal include include Fischer, Head, Blizzard, Salomon, Roxy, Dynastar, Rossignol, Coreupt, Flow and Hello Kitty skis.
The offer is based on one free day’s ski and snowboard equipment hire for every one day booked, plus a seventh day free of charge. Insurance is available at an optional two Euros extra per day and covers theft, damage and cancellation. Insurance is free for children.
