One of the most popular events as ever will be the 72 hour Filmmaker Showdown back for its10th year with a very special presentation of winning films and gems from the past decade. The Filmmaker Showdown has been one of the most popular events in TWSSF’s history, sells out in record time each year.
Designed originally for professional filmmakers, the Showdown has morphed into an opportunity for anyone who has a camera, and knows how to use it, to present their best work. Now a benchmark in localised filmmaking, and attracting international entrants, the 72hr Filmmaker Showdown is rolling back the reel, dusting off the projector and preparing for Academy Award winning performances from our MC, our audience and our Filmmakers.
With over $4500 in cash and tons of prizes up for grabs we are celebrating the best of the last 10 years and awarding prizes from best performance, to best cinematography to best director. Awards, finalist montages, retrospectives and plenty of surprises will make this THE night for celebrating all things film.
