Nakiska in Canada announces amazing enhancements for new season
Nakiska, the place Alberta and the World goes to celebrate the sports of skiing and snowboarding, is ready to party into the 2011.2012 season celebrating its 25th Anniversary of Nakiska! This season is dedicated to the legacy of hosting the Olympics as well as all the amazing enhancements that were implemented recently including the Gold Chair Express, Na.Jib.Ska Rail Park, the exciting introduction of the Monster Trails, and snowmaking expansion and the introduction of the April Spring Event Series featuring DJs & Beer Gardens every weekend.
These major improvements were noted by guests and Olympic athletes training at Nakiska prior to the Vancouver Olympics and upcoming Sochi Olympic Games and were also beneficial for the preparation to host the Canadian National Championships.

The RCR Rail Park Pass is now FREE this season! The Rail Park Pass can also now be ordered online and will allow you access in Rail Parks at every RCR resort as well as access into the NEW Skiier/Boarder Cross Course at Fernie Alpine Resort.

NEW Spring Event Concert Series – Every Weekend in April this past season featured DJ’s playing on the Deck, Beer Gardens, BBQ and of course the return of our Spring Fiesta party where this past season featured a Kokanee Mountain Bike Giveaway!
Women’s Day/Men’s Day – selected days throughout the season will be dedicated to provide a unique experience catered to women or men with lift ticket, shuttle service, and dinner packages available.
TELUS Learn-2-Ski Package – Learning a new sport has never been so fun and easy! Our all-inclusive Ski/Snowboard Packages include a beginner area lift ticket, rental and a group lesson. With our professional instructors, you will learn the skills you need to help you build confidence and enjoy the spirit of skiing or snowboarding. One on one lessons are also available for those wanting a little more focused attention.

Banff/Canadian Rockies’ visitors now have a 4th ski resort with the NEW Nakiska Daily Shuttle service introduced last season, accessible from all Banff hotels and the Radisson in Canmore.
The Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino is open! Located at the gateway to the Canadian Rockies and only 20 minutes from Nakiska Ski Resort. This brand new facility features 111 guest rooms with views of the Canadian Rockies, state-of-the-art meeting and banquet facilities, and an indoor water park. Offering a first-class casino experience with a variety of dining options including the Ridge Buffet, Peaks Café, and the Sidelines Lounge; and great entertainment from pay-per-view events to live concerts. Kananaskis Helicopter Tours – The local micro climate weather in Kananaskis permits more flying days than any other Canadian Rockies operator. Offering Heli-hiking or Rockies Sightseeing. Open year round, 8 am to 8 pm (daylight hours) with departures every 30 minutes. Kananaskis Heli Tours is located at the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino at the junction of the Kananaskis Trail (Hwy 40) & TransCanada Highway (Hwy 1) between Calgary and Banff.
