Fernie ski resort adds additional altitude

A new lift at Fernie in British Columbia will increase the famous Canadian resort’s skiable vertical to 3,550 feet in time for its 50th anniversary season this winter. The Polar Peak Lift, will add onto the already incredible vertical at Fernie Alpine Resort, now giving the ski resort 3550 vertical feet with 2500 acres of terrain over five Alpine bowls and a reputation for some of the deepest snow in the Rockies.

Golf in the Canadian Rockies

Six of the Canadian Rockies Golf courses have again been named to ScoreGolf’s annual public golf course rankings. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge took highest honors again at the top of the rankings. The Fairmont Banff Springs golf course ranked second, Stewart Creek Golf Club third, Kananaskis Country Mt. Kidd fourth and its Mt. Lorette a close fifth. Silvertip, also in the consortia, placed 13th.
