Ski Dubai, the world-famous attraction from Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, is well underway in registration of participants for the UAE’s first endurance challenge to be held on snow. Modeled on the world’s toughest commando assault course, the Aprilia Ice Warrior Challenge will help raise money for charity providing specialized education and therapy, for children with various disabilities.

Invited to chair a fundraising benefit at the Toronto film festival she endeared herself to the stellar crowd attending by spontaneously putting herself up for auction. Her generous gesture came at a gala for the amFar Aids organisation when a one-week ski trip at an exclusive resort was put up for auction.

Sir Steve Redgrave is to lead a team of brave individuals in a charity sky diving fundraiser with the Red Devils in aid of Disability Snowsport UK. The skydive team will include former Olympic skier Alain Baxter, the charity’s CEO Fiona Young, Crystal’s MD Mathew Prior and British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) Chairman Andrew Lockerbie.

From July 17th through 19th, several U.S. Ski Team athletes will be offering clinics in Mt. Hood, Oregon, to benefit unfunded skiers who race in World Cup competitions. You’ll not only get a chance to ski in the summer, but you’ll get to learn from the world’s best. Plus, you’ll be helping someone else’s dream come true, too.

“T-10,” the 2010 Telluride Gay Ski Week will take place the week of Feb. 20 — 27 in the gorgeous 92-acre pedestrian center of Mountain Village and the Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado.

The Ski Club of Great Britain and Snow+Rock presented a cheque for £2947 to Disability Snowsport UK at the opening of The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead. The two companies raised the money for the skiers and snowboarders charity at a series of events last autumn including a lecture by free skiing legend Chris Davenport, and the ‘Prepare for Snow’ talks, which took place in Snow+Rock stores around the UK.
