The £190 million Himalayan Ski Village (HSV) in the Dhauladhar region will cover 6,000 acres of mountainside with five miles of lifts and four hotels with 500 five-star rooms. The team behind the project includes Alfred Ford, the great-grandson of Henry Ford, the automobile pioneer.

It’s all about the extreme adrenaline rush and passion for hard-core adventure. It requires high levels of physical fitness, a great degree of skills in negotiating glaciers and other high-altitude terrain and definitely does not come cheap. But nothing deters extreme adventure lovers from seeking out the Himalayas for high-altitude trekking and mountaineering.
