For the first time in France, the chair lift company, the tourist office, and the Les Gets golf course are all certified ISO 14001 (environmental certification). Every three years, there is a new audit. There are also ‘test audits’ once a year, that make sure that we are doing the right things in this environmental management program and that we are achieving our goals. The tourist offices’ next test audit will be in September 2011.

Firstly for those looking for a more relaxed day on the slopes – perhaps starting the day early or finishingearly-afternoonon order to take advantage of the resorts great shops, restaurants or even attend the weekly chocolate making workshop. Les Gets has introduced a new 5 hour lift pass at a reduced rate which can begin at any time of the day and save you Euros on the full day rate.

Les Gets in the French Portes du Soleil region has created a brand new “Espace des Mappys” beginner’s ski area this season. The new slope is designed to help first time skiers of all ages learn to ski in an area away from faster skiers.
