Sion Airport welcomed its first service direct from London Stansted this weekend when Snowjet commenced twice weekly flights to the Swiss Alps on Saturday. A total of 75 passengers boarded the Bae146–200 aircraft for the inaugural flight.

Snowjet, the ski flight specialist, will begin operating direct flights from London Gatwick to Geneva in Switzerland for the 09/10 winter ski season.

The weekly Geneva service will complement Snowjet’s existing flights to Chambery and Sion and has been introduced in direct response to passenger’s requests.
