Olympic downhill boosted despite weather at Whistler
The men’s Olympic downhill moved a step closer to going ahead as planned on Saturday after the field all completed a training run despite poor weather. Fog cut short practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday but all 89 starters have now had a mandatory run, allowing the race to go ahead. However, the weekend weather forecast for Whistler is for heavy snow, which could force a postponement.

The 2010 Winter Olympics will be held from the 12th- 28th February in Vancouver, Canada, with events also taking place in Whistler, Cypress Mountain and Richmond.
